At Nature Hill, we believe in creating a place where nature, comfort, and authenticity come together. The journey began in 2016, when Neil, a French traveler with a passion for adventure, visited the island of Koh Mook. After years of exploring countries like New Zealand and Southeast Asia, he found something special on this small island—its unspoiled beauty, its warm local community, and Su, a native of Trang. It wasn’t long before Neil fell in love with both the island and Su, and together embarked on a new adventure.
With Neil’s carpentry skills and Su’s experience as a local business owner, the very first bungalow was crafted using eco-friendly, locally sourced materials. What started as one bungalow soon grew into Nature Hill, a place for travelers seeking peace, nature, and an authentic Thai experience. The vision has always been to blend sustainable practices with the natural beauty of Koh Mook, creating a place where guests can truly unwind.
Our Philosophy
From the start, sustainability was the key, using reclaimed wood and eco-friendly resources to build our rooms. Also preserving as much trees and vegetation as we could to maintain the existing biodiversity.
This approach goes beyond construction as we work closely with the local community and support the island’s economy! Using fresh products at our restaurant from the local fishermen, ensuring that every meal reflects Koh Mook’s rich flavors.
Our team is made up of locals from Koh Mook and the surroundings, creating a true sense of community. By working together, we aim to offer our guests a unique opportunity to discover the authentic Thailand, far from mass tourism.

Today, Nature Hill is a family-run business. Neil and Su, now parents of two children, are dedicated to maintaining the personal touch that defines our resort. Whether you’re staying in one of our charming wooden bungalows, enjoying a meal at our restaurant, or chatting with the locals, you’ll feel a part of our extended family.
